Hey Guys,
So here is my thoughts on Starting Races. Typically most campaign worlds only offer you quite a few "human" sub-races and only one or two variations on each of the other base races. I always thought that was silly. I believe each base race should have multiple cultural options. Why should only humans have such variation?
So, here is what I would suggest as the "starting races" to offer in a core book:
- Bamorians: Damorel, Kalamor
- Duervar: Bormdravar, Duumdravar, Keldravar
- Duneimen: Ronans, Moarvik, J'mirans, Parthans, Kamorans, Mikanians, Sorans
- Fey: Gnomes Grunderling, Tuatha'de'Anwyn
- Folkin: Underhills, Valleyfolk, Cityfolk
- Gelvani: Drey-Gelvani, Grey-Gelvani, Que-Gelvani
- Orcs: there is a new type of playable orc I am considering that is developing in this new age
What do you think?
I'm also considering eliminating the "Verosian" variation on the Duneimen. Breaking them back into each sub-race seems simpler.
