+5 Axiomatic Medium Shield of Justice
Axiomatic: An axiomatic weapon is infused with lawful power. It makes the weapon law-aligned and thus bypasses the corresponding damage reduction. It deals an extra 2d6 points of damage against chaotic creatures. It bestows one permanent negative level (see page 562) on any chaotic creature attempting to wield it. The negative level remains as long as the weapon is in hand and disappears when the weapon is no longer wielded. This negative level cannot be overcome in any way (including restoration spells) while the weapon is wielded.
Justice: When facing anyone accused of unjust deeds, if those accused are guilty, they must save or be terrified of the wielder of this shield. Any guilty creature in a 30-foot
cone become panicked as if by a fear spell (Will DC 16 partial). Those who fail take a –2 morale penalty on saving throws, and they flee from the wielder. The wielder may use this ability up to three times per day.
Order’s Wrath: 1/day this shield can cast Order’s Wrath as a 16th level Priest.

This circular mithril shield bears the duervan rune for Justice. It was granted by the god Balderak to Dondramor the Just Hand, to exact revenge upon the men of Kal’Akaradan for the injustice they gave him. It is said no weapon can pass this shield so long as its bearer is on a just cause and its crushing blows throw off all guilty assailants.
